When I started working for my cousin's landscaping business during the summers of '91 and '92, I learned all of the facets of lawn care and maintenance—and loved it. But after graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in Business Management, I worked for over 30 years in retail and sales management. Then in 2014, as my daughter was entering her teenage years, I had a bit more free time. I decided to get back to doing what I had a passion for.

 

My cousin helped me get started, giving me five small lawns to maintain. I bought a 5x8 trailer, pulled it with my Nissan Rogue, and used my own Craftsmen push mower, weed whacker and blower to start my own business.

On May 1, 2020 I quit my desk job and opened Rick's Lawn & Landscaping full time.
